The Largest Number of Exhibitors Participating With 631 Companies

Of the 520 domestic companies that exhibited at H.C.R. 2000, there was an increase of 87 companies in comparison to last year's participation with 134 new companies that exhibited. This year, many joint exhibitors were prominent, as participants teamed up with affiliated companies and companies newly entering the field from other industries. In regard to the 111 overseas companies from 14 countries and 1 territory that exhibited, 80% had an agent (or subsidiary) in Japan. During H.C.R. 2000, 7 overseas companies found new agents in Japan.

Increase in Visitors From Social Welfare Organizations/Home Care Services Categories

Of the total number of visitors of 131,738 persons for the entire 3-day exhibition, the Home Care Services related sector increased by 1.6% in comparison to last year's figures. Also, more and more end users of home care and rehabilitation equipment are coming to H.C.R. each year, including more than 2,000 wheelchair users that visited during the exhibition.
The exhibition was visited by dignitaries such as, Yuji Tsushima, Minister of Health and Welfare, Hajime Morita, Minister of Transport, and Yutaka Fukushima, the Vice-Minister of the Health and Welfare.

First year of Care Insurance System: Expansion of Market Expected, Latest Home Care and Rehabilitation Equipment Exhibited.

In particular, we are seeing an increase of exhibitors dealing in daily living aids and home remodeling which are being covered under the care insurance system. Also, many bed and bathing related products being used in the home were exhibited. A general growing trend in products covered under the care insurance system was seen displayed at the exhibition this year

Moving Forward to H.C.R. 2001
28th Int. Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition to be Held in October of Next Year

The forthcoming H.C.R. exhibition of the 21st century, the 28th Int. Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition H.C.R. 2001 will begin on October 24, 2001.
For the further enrichment of social welfare of the 21st century, we will provide a place to exchange valuable information for users and manufacturers. Moreover, we will endeavor to contribute to the continued progress of distribution and development of home care and rehabilitation equipment.
The application period for H.C.R. 2001 begins on March 1, 2001 and we would like to invite manufacturers in the industry to participate in H.C.R. 2001.
