H.C.R. 2001 News No. 5 (Dec/21/2001)

At Close of 1st H.C.R. of 21st Century

We wish to express our condolences to the victims of the terrorists attacks in the U.S. in September, and at the same time, we hope that we will be ever closer to a time of peace.

It was a great pleasure for us to have held our 28th Int. Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition 2001 on the largest scale ever having an unprecedented number of 634 exhibitors from 13 countries and 1 territory in participation.

As the Organizer, we are truly grateful for everyone's support and cooperation as H.C.R. 2001 had the largest number of visitors ever with 134,000 persons in attendance.

In this 21st century, we believe that expectations will continue to heighten ever more for home care and rehabilitation equipment to aid in the care of the elderly and physically challenged and in support of their independence. It is our hope that visitors will continue to avail themselves of the wealth of information on home care and rehabilitation equipment from around the world, have deep meaningful interchanges with manufacturers, in addition to an exchange of information by visiting our future Int. Home Care & Rehabilitation exhibitions.

Based on the accomplishments of our H.C.R. 2001 at the beginning of this 21st century, we proceed toward H.C.R. 2002, as we endeavor to further enrich our exhibitions and wish to thank everyone for their continued support and cooperation.

Visitors From Social Welfare Institutions and Home Care Services Categories Increased

The largest number ever of 134,018 visitors came during the 3 day exhibition. The remarkable increase was due to increases in visitors of the Social Welfare Institution and Home Care Services categories. (Social Welfare Institution: up 1.6 %, Home Care Services: up 1.3 %)

A distinctive characteristic of H.C.R. is that many end users that actually use home care and rehabilitation equipment visit the exhibition. Additionally, we have been seeing an increase of physically challenged persons coming to the exhibition.

Expectation of Market Expansion Continues. The Latest Home Care and Rehabilitation Equipment Together at One Place for Interchange Among Users, Manufacturers & Service Providers!

Within each category, there was an overall increasing trend of products being exhibited of which the "Wheelchair related aids," "Walkers," "Beds," "Bathing related aids," "Portable toilets," and "Eating utensils," categories showed outstanding increases. In view of the products exhibited, it appeared that the range of home care and rehabilitation equipment to select from had greatly expanded to respond to the varied lifestyles of users.
